I have recently completed a educational quest that embarked on with my wife Rachel almost 7 years ago. I finally feel I have the time to engage the portion of my brain that was hijacked by school for other endeavors (i.e.a blog, learning another language, running, starting a family, etc.). My main goals for starting a blog is to use it to chronicle life post-higher education. I realize that we are only guaranteed today so with an eye on the future we must maximize life's experience in the present. I plan on doing just that.
The content of the blog will be quite a mixed bag. It will consist of my running mileage, my travels, my emotions, the outdoors, cars, my family (and dogs), friends and everything in between. It is all fair game. If it enters David Dirito's head it is subject to become blog content. Also, the first couple post might consist of some retrograde documentation as Ray and I have done some cool stuff since I graduated in August.
Someday, I will look back and be frustrated at how much I have forgotten (as I already feel this happening). My plan will be to use this blog as a memory and emotional "back-up" for my brain so in the future I can have a glimpse of my past to realize the path I took to arrive at the present, much like a journal.
